Transgender Nonsense in Sports: A Liberty Crisis
Let’s cut the woke fog and get real: the idea of men pretending to be women in sports because they can’t hack it against other men isn’t just absurd—it’s a mental crisis masquerading as progress. I’m Jerry Odom, fighting for South Dakota’s liberty since 2007, and I’m calling it out: this transgender nonsense is anti-liberty, anti-fairness, and a sad spectacle that’s wrecking women’s sports.
Here’s the deal: if you’re a man who can’t win against other men, so you “identify” as a woman to compete against them—sorry, pal, that’s not courage, that’s cowardice. It’s a mental crisis when you feel the need to pretend to be a woman just to get a trophy you couldn’t earn fair and square. Lia Thomas, a male swimmer, dominated women’s NCAA swimming in 2022—beating real women by seconds, not milliseconds (NCAA records). That’s not competition; that’s cheating with a side of delusion. Women’s sports are for women—biological women—not men who failed at their own game.
This isn’t about “inclusion”; it’s about erasing fairness. Liberty means equal opportunity, not equal outcomes (14th Amendment, look it up). Forcing women to compete against biological men isn’t liberty—it’s tyranny, plain and simple. The Founders built a Republic on merit, not make-believe—John Adams said, “Facts are stubborn things.” Fact: men have 10–30% more muscle mass and bone density than women (Journal of Applied Physiology, 2021). That’s why we have separate sports categories—because biology isn’t a social construct, no matter how loud the woke scream.
DEI and transgender policies are two peas in a liberty-killing pod. They’re big government telling you to ignore reality—your daughter’s track team gets crushed, your sister’s wrestling dreams get pinned, all because some guy “feels” like a woman. That’s not freedom; that’s insanity. In South Dakota, we value fairness—your right to compete on a level field, not a rigged one.
